What I miss most

Image
I, of course, miss seeing my friends in person the most. I miss going to dinner with them and being able to see them. I still talk to my friends, just only on group FaceTime and it's just not the same. I also miss going to buy food a lot. I recently had a very bad craving for doughnuts and couldn't act quite right without them. We couldn't just go to the store and buy them because well...the pandemic, so my very kind mother went to the Timmies drive through and I ate that doughnut like I hadn't eaten in a week. It was so delicious that I just had to have 3:]

My Hobbies

One of my main hobbies is dance. I dance every day except the weekends for multiple hours and I have been dancing most days during the pandemic, just for shorter hours. It's harder to dance during the pandemic because I never have enough room and I am kicking everything. We dance online on Zoom and we are doing our whole recital online by filming ourselves. Another hobby I have found out that I am enjoying is painting. I have an old white cheap dresser that I have been painting by dividing the dresser onto squares and painting each of them different pictures. Another hobby I have is watching and playing Minecraft. I have always played Minecraft since my young years and I LOVE IT. I am rewatching Minecraft videos from around six years ago and it is so nostalgic it makes me tear up sometimes when I remember those days.

The Pandemic

During the pandemic I have been finding new ways to occupy my time. Something I have done has been to go around on a car drive and take photos of life right now, so that in the future I can show these photos to people who haven't experienced the pandemic and they can see what it was like. This photo shows them how careful you have to be touching everything, how we use everyday items like a walk sign and how we take for granted not having to think about getting a deadly virus from a walk sign. This pandemic has been hard and stressful on business owners. A lot of stores and companies have shut down due to COVID-19 because they have no income from people coming into their store and they probably have no backup plan because rent is so high in Vancouver. I think that in the future business owners will have backup money just in case this happens again. I know at least if I ever own a business I will have an emergency fund for at least 3 months.
